Scott, you've started down a long expensive road. We have a local restaurant chain called the Winking Lizard that is branching out to whiskey bars. They've got a huge book of whiskeys from the whole world to choose from. Unfortunately, I found I have the same expensive taste. The last one I sampled was $30 for a long pour shot. But it was worth every sip!

That must be the book Dave carries with him. ; I am sure the occasional expensive pour will happen, too. ; :)

It's the same with any spirit. ; Aging makes the finished product smoother and mellower, but as they say, time is money. ;)

The Crunch played a game in the Verizon Center on Sunday and I took advantage and stayed after for a couple of days to visit a few Smithsonian museums including the Air & Space. ; Click the photo to read more about this spaceplane which almost became the direction of the US Manned Space program back in the early 60's.

A model of Luke's landspeeder used in the filming of Star Wars. ; If you have a sharp eye, you'll see that Obi-Wan Kenobi is being played by Steve Austin (the six million dollar man). ; In the background is the full-sized version, complete with wheeled undercarriage.

This kid will be in the NHL next season. ; Amazing speed and natural talent. ; Second generation player whose Russian Dad played for the Crunch in 1994 when Vladdy was 3 years old. ; Note: this was taken with a Nikon 24-120mm f/4 AF-S VR lens on a Nikon D7100. ; Renting this lens for a few days which will cover 4 Crunch home games as a future replacement for the older Nikon 24-85G f/3.5-4.5 AF lens I use now at ice level.

Meanwhile, back in Metropolis...
Cincinnati Union Station was the inspiration for the design of the Hall of Justice. ; The hall was the Headquarters of the Super Friends, a group of DC Comics super heroes brought together in a cartoon series in the 1970s. ; In real life, the train station now serves as the Cincinnati Museum Center and is worth a visit to view the Art Deco splendors both inside and out.
