Yes, it's a military launch. It's ; Delta rocket with extra solid fuel boosters strapped to it, so while they are burning, it should be quite visible for the first part of the ascent. After they burn out, the main stage will probably only look like a point of light. Head over to http://www.spaceflightnow.com/delta/d346/status.html for more information.

Cool. ; Let's hope the sky clears up in time. ; I've seen a Delta launch from Orlando; it's like watching a distant sodium-vapor street light climb up the sky.

Digital certainly makes it easier, doesn't it?! ; Cut, paste, done!

BTW - the moon was really there in the original - just way too small. ; It needed some BIGness! ; And also, might as well clean up all the junk floating around in World Showcase Lagoon while I was at it. ; Here's the original, for point of reference:

    Nice alteration Justin.

Looks like the mission was scrubbed tonight.
    ; ; ; ; ; ; "Liftoff will be retargeted for Thursday during a window stretching from 7:22 to 8:43 p.m. EST."

That quote is from the page Space Flight Now.

That's great news for all - Thursday we'll be there...hopefully launch will go off - they are fun to watch from up there. ; Shuttles are even better - but all the rockets are visible from Disney.

It was a lot of fun- the rain held off until the very end.

Good news...let's hope it keeps staying away, or at least giving us some holes between the rain to do our bits. ; Tomorrow evening and into Friday seem to be the worst chances of rain...by Sat afternoon it should be pretty clear. ; Hopefully, what rain there is will be intermittent only.
