Thanks Roger. Yes, I've been lurking awhile. And my first post is about tripods of all things. The one piece of gear I'd love to leave home. What a pain they are. LOL
Tripods allowed as Carry ons for Air Travel?

Just back from a trip to Daytona with a couple of days in WDW. ; I carried my tripod strapped to my back pack on without any problems through the Indianapolis and Orlando airports. ; I did call TSA before I left and they said that tripods are not on the prohibited list and were fine to carry on. ; My tripod is a fairly small...22 inches when folded without the ball head (I pack it with my gear in the backpack). ;
