The Gods donate a Canon lens to a homeowner, fail to amuse her

Hmmm - at least the gods offered up L glass. ; 24-105mm F4, with hood and looks like a free protective filter...though it doesn't appear to have worked very well.
 
Sounds like a conversation likely to be heard in many TMIPers' homes:

"But honey, of COURSE it costs over $1,000! Do you think L-glass just falls out of the sky whenever you want it?!"
 
L glass doesn't just fall from the sky you know.
