As reported before with the API they released the new update. Now it is reporting the settings of the camera AND it will send a full size JPEG to the phone after taking a pic if you want. Before the app limited it to a 2mp image.
You can't change anything other than white balance or a self timer. Yet. But it will tell you what the camera is set on now.
