It seems that a lens that size (1.2/1.4) is always a bear to focus because the elements have to move a large distance vs. element size. So based on the reviews of the quality of the image, and the fact that I'm only losing about 1/2-2/3 of a stop of light, which isn't a big deal anymore since you can crank the ISO without too much of a headache, that I decided that the extra cost wasn't worth it.
