That's the only spot back there that I can find to shoot Wishes that has an interesting foreground. I thought at first maybe I could get them over the ride itself with the Thunder Mt. red rock in the shot but the bursts go off far to the right of that.

I've also shot the fireworks from the Frontierland docks with them going up over the liberty belle.

Have to wonder why they have lights on at that location on Tom Sawyer Island at night.

Mark, that is such a cool shot. I like the framing and detail in the image. Was it cropped? Shot from the train station?

And to pile on...did you use a neutral density filter or did you expose for the castle an let everything else run through the frame? ; Thanks for your input!

Yep it was shot from the train station and I had to crop it a bit to get rid of the flag pole.

    Scott,
; ; I did not use an ND filter, I exposed for the castle and set f/14 so it would expose a little longer. It was a single RAW shot and I did 3 runs through Adobe Camera Raw with the same shot so that each part of the shot would be exposed the way I wanted. I then used layer masking to punch through to each layer I found most pleasing. I flattened the 3 layers and then used detail enhancer with NIK Color Efex ; and again used layer masking to only use the parts of the NIK layer I found better. Last I used some sharpening and noise reduction where I had to.

Great stuff Mike and Harry! ; Love those bursts behind the castle and the color and expression and timing are great in the Minnie shot.

    Thanks Mike and John!

Mike I like those bursts behind the castle also. I like how you can crop into the castle.

John, it helps when you have a 2 year old waving. Oh yeah, luck counts too.
