I sure wish the Dutchmann was still at Castaway Cay, it added a little bit of Pirates to the island.

Looking at all these shots really temps me to give a cruise a try. But, how crowded are they really? From all these photos, you'd think the ships sail around empty. 
How bad is it really with a few thousand people on board? I'm not claustrophobic, but really don't like being packed in like a sardine, even at Disney.

Erich, I was real worried about this when we went on the Dream last summer, since the capacity went from 2400 to 4000! ; I have to say that I still did not feel crowded at all. ; There are just so many places and things to do that it is not an issue. ; The only time I waited on line was to have photos with characters, but that is scheduled and we would plan ahead so we did not wait long at all. ; It is not like the parks at all.

i think having done 5 disney cruises i can answer this, even a sold out ship doesn't feel claustrophobic, there are certain times when you become aware of the crowd, but i've never felt it too badly. now zackiedog is really our cruise director as his cruise total lifetime is way ahead of mine, but i'd be very surprised if he felt differently. one thing i would tell you, get a balcony, we did that for our very first cruise, and now it's a rule, if i can't have a balcony, i won't go. that's our own lttle private retreat as it were. and 3 of my 5 disney cruises have been complete sellouts/full boat deals. and even with that many kids on board there are still places you can go for an adults only experience.
