More Wishes from the Contemporary

quick question Craig... I'd like to take some good overhead pictures of the monorail(s) from the Contemporary. Can I get up there to take pictures at any time of the day without reservations at California Grill? If so, how? Excuse my ignorance, I've never really explored the Contemporary Resort...

Easiest way to the roof:
go to the 11th floor, and go to the steps at the end of the hall. block the door open, and go up to the roof.
but, there are really good views of the monorail from the fourth floor public balcony.
 
You can seriously go on the roof, they allow that? You're talking the main tower right? (again, excuse the ignorance, but I don't have a clue when it comes to this resort...)
