So we are Helping out our Waitress from our local Montana’s who wants to go to Disney in October, she will be traveling from Calgary, AB. This will be her first trip and I think she will be going with her Husband and 2 children ages 5 and 8 (I know its scary we know so much about our Waitress).

This will be her first trip down to Disney and we would like it make it the cost effective… I am thinking they should stay onsite for the first time and be able to take advantage of the transportation and extra magic hours.

So lets get suggestions on where they should stay … and what they should do .. lets say a min of 4 nights to a max of 7 days … I would like to see suggestions on what they should do .. where they should stay … plan this if it was your own trip.

I would suggest one of the values, my fav being POP Century.

Try to get down there so that they can enjoy MNSSHP.

It will be busy since it looks like Free Dining will be offered after the Pin Codes have been utilized.

You forgot to mention the gender of the children?

Okay if i knew the Gender of the children i think that would be extra creapy

So we will continue on as if one of each ;)

Chef Mickey's for breakfast
Fantasmic
All things at AK!
Ride the Monorail all around, try to get into the front when you do this.
CRT
Have a Dole Whip, Mickey Bar, Cheese Stuffed Pretzel, Emu, I mean Turkey Leg....
Watch the Water Parade from Poly Beach
Do the Kidcot at Epcot
Do the rides and shows at all the Pavilions in Epcot
Get a PBJ shake at Primetime

Don't forget the kid stations at AK ... they get a passport to stamp around the park ... Lion King Show ... conservation station.

Epcot - if the eldest is a girl, don't miss the Kim Possible adventures in World Showcase. My girls always love participating in the shows at Innoventions. They love Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Soarin', and Figment ... Epcot is their favourite park. Don't let them think it's not for kids. Oh, and shopping in "Japan." Both my girls have a Monchichi doll, just like I did in 1980! ;:D

I agree with Chef Mickey's, but we always did it for dinner on an off-day, followed by the monorail tour.

Also:
Forewarn them of popular souvenir trends .... souvenir books for autographs and pics with the characters ... pin lanyards and pin collections. They should set the rules upfront for what they will allow their kids to participate in.

Already great advice in this thread.

My 2 cents.

Stay at POP and take in MNSSHP.

Lion King show at AK a must.

Night time parades at MK

Fantasmic @ DHS

See if they can get a PIN for dining.

Early start get to a park for rope drop. Head back to the resort after lunch for some pool time.

Plan, plan, plan.

Now it just got extra creepy! ;)

Ok, so definately take them to DTD to eat at the T-Rex Restaurant

And since they are definately interested in MNSSHP, tell them that is one less day ticket that they will need to purchase. ; Suggest that they use that day to relax by the pool, and then they can use the MNSSHP tix to get into MK at 4:00.

That is a great suggestion scratch. ; Everyone needs a day to relax. ; I can see her and her family liking Pop Century though if they can get it booked. ; I know when we visited there in December it seemed like a fun place to stay. ; I also liked the fact that you could walk to All star music, sport and movies. ; Although it was a long walk for a PG person.
