Be careful after the storm passes too. More people are injured during the cleanup than during the storm itself.

anything i missed??
 
Hope none of you northerners are getting washed away by the flooding effects - Jersey looks pretty hard hit near the rivers. ; Relatives back in Paterson actually ducked the bullets and risked their car's wheels and stereo to get me photos of the Great Falls, which was running WAY over flood stage, and doing it's best impression of Niagara.
 
home last night about 2300, got 8 hrs uninterrupted sleep in my own bed, 6 calls since 0800 today, home taking a short break,never lost power at my home, but most of jamesport has been powerless since sat pm, it helps that there is a power substation about half a mile south of my house on the same street, that keeps us in the same grid block as the sub, means we almost never lose power, inlaws around the corner still without, most of our calls now are from lipa putting juice back into a block and then finding out there's a tree across the wires or a shorted transformer, then we get another call of tree/pole on fire
flooding isn't too bad here, much damage over on south shore/ fire island. barrier beach islands never do well in hurricanes
 
Wow...Jamesport? ; I don't know why, but I always pictured you lived north of NYC...I never realized you were on Lon-GUYland. ; Jamesport's out by Peconic Bay, right? ; On the regular fork to the north, as opposed to the gold-and-platinum fork on the south side of the bay...
 
yepper, that's the place, although with the arrival of vineyards as a tourist/cultural attraction we now see our fair share of limos and such.
 
Working on 69 hours with no power. ; JCP&L truck drove by the house, asked about power, they said their workin on it. ; I do feel very fortunate because this is only an inconvenience, no loss of property or damage. ;
