Disney World Pictures of Osborne Family Christmas Lights - Dec 7, 2008

I took some pictures of the The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Christmas Lights. There was a big crowd enjoying the display. I have a basic point-and-shoot camera, so these aren't amazing pictures, but not too bad ;). Hopefully someday I can upgrade to some better equipment.

Those pictures are amazing with a point and shoot. Did you tripod up? I was never able to get pictures like that with my point and shoot. Great job!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! :)
Yes, I did use a tripod. I have a Cannon camera and was able to adjust the exposure a little with the stadnard menus. Maybe someday a DSLR camera will be in my budget. ;D
I'm still learning lots about photography, but the one thing I have learned is that, for me and my equipment, it seems that I can only get night pictures to come out when using a tripod. It is a little bit of a hassle carrying it around and setting it up, but the results are worth it. And the tripod itself wasn't very expensive - maybe $25. It's not heavy duty or fancy, but it is light weight and it works.
