Anyone travel on carnival with an infant before?

We are planning on meeting up with a lot of Family on a carnival cruise next month, has anyone traveled with an infant before on the cruise?

I am wondering if they will have a playpen available and if it's going to be a challenge to have my little girl there or if we should not go. ; I have also heard that because of my daughters age she might not be able to swim in any of the pools, does anyone have any experience with Carnival?

We looked into a cruise with them last fall and decided against it simply because we didn't find them kid friendly enough. ; THe fact that they cannot going into the pools was the deciding factor. ; We thought it wouldn't be right to take 1 year to carribean and not let her get wet in the pools.
They will have palypens though. ; I also found Carnival to be a bit of a party boat which I was not keen on either travelling with young children. ; So we decide to take the in laws on a DVC visit instead, and had a great time. ;
