Anybody ever ride the Auto Train?

After much debate (internal and external) I have booked the Auto Train from Sanford, Florida to Lorton, Virginia.

It leaves Fla at 4pm and arrives in Va at 9:30 the next morning. ; It will save a lot of wear and tear (on me).

Anyone ever try this?
 
What kind of accommodations do you have on the train seat, berth, room?

How early do you arrive at the station to board the vehicle?

How long for the vehicle to be back in your hands in Va?

I hope you write about your experience.

We're going coach... ; I can't imagine the cost involved with an upgrade. ; It's a darned expensive train ride.

I will definitely do a review when we get back. ;

Mrs. Highland hit the nail on the head... ; it's like loading on a car ferry!
 
I had thought about using it but the cost was prohibitive. I 'm curious to hear how it is too. It would be great if there was one that went from Buffalo or somewhere in upper new york state it would definitely make it worth while.
