    What is this digital rangefinder feature? I've tried googling it, but all I can find are the restrictions on using it, not what it actually is.

    I was using a manual focus Zeiss lens, and the camera will still meter correctly even though I have to set the aperture on the lens, so it will only work in aperture or manual mode. But, in the view finder, I have two arrows that let me know where the focus is - either behind or in front of the subject, so it lets me know which way to turn the focus ring.
