I don't think that I have ever seen one of the male's sitting up before. Nice Shot!

I've seen a male sitting up *once* before. This time, as we were coming around he got up, turned and went right back down again, all in the matter of seconds. I took a little time for AF to get him before I could fire off a burst.

    That's awesome Roger.
I can't wait to get back to AK!
We're going to have a nice lunch at Tusker House followed by both walking trails and the train ride over to the petting zoo, if that still exists.

Nice catch! He just doesn't come out very often, does he! I was happy to get a shot at him earlier this year for the first time...but it was nearly 7pm and the light was fading so I was pushing my poor little camera for all it was worth!

That first shot is so nice and crisp, and you caught him in a good expression. You even managed to get the bug by his head nice and sharp!

    Thanks y'all!

Yes it was luck on that one, although the lens took a precious sec or two to get the first one of the batch, which wasn't the yawn.

It was from behind as he was getting up to turn around to lie down differently. I'll just link to it rather than post it.
