Hopefully monopods won't get banned too. But hey, the CMs GAVE us the spot!

ok that's it, to quote one of my favorite philosophers

    " that's all i takes, and i can't takes no more"

i need tim and a couple others who will be at mousefest to help me get fantasmic down, and some better fireworks shots

if i can do what i do with racing cars and motorcycles then i need to do something about my weak spots at fireworks and fantasmic
i do expect the 5d to help me out a little there, plus i will have the 24-105 IS with me, either purchased or rented

Gary, you'll need about 3x more lens for that. (F! that is) Perhaps pick up the 200/2.8? It's a great starter lens, and I got this shot with it back in the days of original full frame:

already own it, and it's a great lens, over on my gallery some of the friday night acts were with that lens
i just need to get a close enough seat to make it a good length, i haven't decided what set up to bring to mousefest
i don't want to be hauling 50 lbs of gear through the airports, the walks at mco can get rather lengthy
