Actually that doesn't look that bad. Gravity would indicate that you'd only far a short distance.

Now going straight up a ladder with nothing around, just a safety clip around your waist and 100ft between you and Mother Earth.....is another story.

It can't be that bad. They're in bosun's chairs. Roger's scenario would be a lot worse. Or worse yet, check out this video of Joe McNally climbing the Empire State Building's antenna for a picture. Now that's totally nuts... but he did get a couple of awesome shots...
