Another archival shot here...this is Space Mountain in 1984:
Much more quaint looking, isn't it?! Not much of a line outside, quite alot of open space all around the front, no store and arcade building, and the little spacemen-in-a-ride-car statue standing prominently out front. The family clustered under the men facing the camera would be my family...I'm surprised to see that even when I wasn't as into photography as I am today, I was still getting those 'not another photo' faces from my family.
This is like a Back to the Future experience for me...all of the myriad changes to the Disney parks have happened incrementally over the past 20 years, and I've been there so often that I am like the proverbial frog in the hot water...I didn't notice how much had changed because I had been gradually introduced to each layer of change along the years.
