Sony finally announces their 500 f/4G. $17k via Euro Xchg rate

Yeah...I want it bad. ; Really really bad. ; But I keep weighing the decision...should I get the 500mm F4 lens...or a new car. ; Tough call. ; I really want that lens, but a new car could be a good idea. ; Car, frivolous unnecessary lens...car, frivolous unnecessary lens...

Of course, if I was just stoopid-rich, I'd be getting the first one delivered to the U.S. ; But I'm not (stupid, or rich) enough to get it at this point. ; I'd rather keep hoping for a special deal on a used Minolta 600mm F4.
