But this story is going around - supposedly a hidden recording of Panasonic managers talking with an announcement due soon. ; But in a nutshell:

Panasonic is leaving mFT; another site has Canon buying their imaging division
the managers mention Olympus being completely bought out by Sony

If both of those things happen mFT is basically gone BUT I could see Sony keeping it as another mount.
 
Likely a joke. ; The person who posted it put it up at 12:02am April 1 in his time zone, and has posted a similar false story every April 1. ; I suspect E-mount and M4:3 will both be around for a while to come - if any pull out, it would likely be one of the other mirrorless first.
 
yeah they did come out to say it was a joke - which is why I did put a disclaimer on it, timing was too close!
