NEW REVIEW - Tokina 11-16 by Craig Bendele

Great review, Craig! I agree shooting with an ultra-wide angle (UWA) lens takes some work but worth the effort. It depends on what you want one for. For scenic and travel photography, you can get very unique shots with an UWA. What people don't do a lot is use a wide angle for close ups photos inside buildings. Also, if you are careful, portraits of people showing their environment can be done. Here's a link which shows that: Tokina 11-16 Portrait Examples

I still have this lens or a good used 12-24 on my buy list. If anyone knows of where this lens is in stock (and not in a New York Photo store), let me know!

Just a note about something unique to this lens, the star effect comes from the 9-bladed diaphragm Tokina uses.
