Not really- but kind of. ; ;)

Very excited to say that we just got our first RV (well- kinda-sorta- actually my parents bought it to travel during the summer months- but said we can use it the rest of the time whenever we want to- so close enough to having our own- plus it's free!) ; Anyway- while they are planning a trip out west for next year we went ahead and booked Fort Wilderness for our anniversary weekend next month. ; Staying in the 300 loop 9/23-9/26...I requested a pet-friendly loop since I'm not sure if we'll bring the new puppy along or not- I worry about the logistics of 1x puppy and 2x kids on our first run. ;

We stayed in a FW Cabin last year which we really enjoyed. ; Last weekend when we heard about all this we went over there and had dinner at Trails End- then drove around the campground in the evening just to get in the mood. ; We are total camping amatures but I'm hoping this is a good experience and we will soon be Fort Wilderness regulars.

Very nice...well, for your first experience in camping, you can not go wrong with Fort Wilderness. ; I suggest you bring along a notebook to write down things you find you wish you had brought or things you find others using. ;

You couldn't pick a better place for a first time camping. ; I have never gone in a camper, but have always "roughed" it in a tent. ; It is a lot of fun, and a great way to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
 
ok after 6 days of verizon bull, the town, hence my hood, thus me, now back in touch, i'm going to step up here, have camped 5 times in ft wilderness, owned some sort of rv for the last 20 years, so yeah, i know a little1. 300 loop, great choice, have been there twice, 2nd time by request, 300,400 and 700, absolute the best loops for bus/boat transfers2. magic kingdom by boat, still one of the nicest ways to arrive, 3. you live close by, consider bringing a car, animal kingdom is the worst bus service, epcot and studios, may not be too bad,we just drive to ak and epcot, but ; being a 5th wheel i have the seperate truck along4. don't forget the fireworks and electric water pageant from the beach if time allows, sometimes you can time it to be on the boat to mk during fireworks, great seats outside5. seperate vehicle allows hitting the publix on 192, meadows and settlement trading posts really are very limited choices, or pack all from home6. never really thought the bugs were bad, months stayed were june, may, oct 2x, dec7. remember to check on what amp service the camper needs, i use 30 amp and don't remember what loops now have 50 amp8. remember you have that slideout, have to factor in side clearance when parking on the site, all of which always were dead on level in my experience
