Nemo Musical...now "no flash photography"

So, was it NO photography of any kind before and they are now allowing photography if you are forgo with the flash?
 
That's what I read this morning.

I knew that the original cast is basically gone, and they were professionals* from New York, and their contract forbid the photography, so that's why you couldn't take pictures before. Not for their safety.

Very interesting. I really thought that the no photography thing was based on the assumption that people would use flashes no matter what.
I never would have guessed it was a copyright issue.
