Mandarin Ducks

    Spring was in the air during my last trip to WDW. Lots of mating activity going on with couples together, nests being built and other things.

    This pair of Mandarin Ducks caught my eye in the Asian aviary on the Maharajah Jungle Trek. She's a bit soft due to the wide open aperture. It was a bit shady in there.

    Wow that is an amazingly colorful and beautiful bird - thanks for sharing the pics!

    Thanks! These are the Asian version of our North American Wood Duck which I got a photo of somewhere around here. :)
