I talk to sean about creating a live chat channel for Disney Magic. We are wondering how many would be interested in this venture. Right now I host several channels on Novernet.com. ; ;)

You would be able to connect via a mIRC client or sean has offered to create a java contact point on this web site to make it even easier. ; ;D

This would NOT replace this board but enable us to becoming better friends.

In principle, I like the idea... but in practice, I find it very hard to do anything online on a schedule. ; I notice that Sheila and I are usually online around 5:30am (must be the eastern Ontario thing).

I can be hit and miss.
 
Only thing we could try is to have a scheduled chat once a week.
With six time zones it may it a little challenging. ;

I'm just going to throw out 22:00 on Tuesday?

Actually the channel would be open 24/7 ; ;D

People can just join and lurk or take part in conversations with those online at that time.

For peeps like me semi-retired, i'm usually close by. I not sure a scheduled time would be required ; :-\

I picture it as more of a drop in centre.

I think we will start it off as a once a week chat that will be hosted right on the site .. just a place where friends can get together and talk.
 
Agreed about a set time. I'm also on a work related boars and the folks who want to chat can 24/7 but there is a weekly chat where a lot more chatters show up.

Hey Oldman - forgive me, but I don't know anything about Novernet - how do things work on the chats your currently host?
