The chaps hat Google are hosting (literally) millions of images from the archive of LIFE magazine. So pretty much any photo that has appeared on it is available for free at pretty high res for your perusal.

Hmmm... who do we know that like to utilize a wide variety of photo images??? ; Hmmmm, wait, I know it will come to me.... ; ; ;D

Its a big resource I use for various images a tip is to take advantage of the image size option in the top left corner this will prevent you from getting verry small pictures or thumbnails if your looking for quality images.
