Golden-breasted starling

    Another advantage of going to the Pangani Forest first thing in the AM is that the birds haven't been freaked out by the guests yet. This one let me get close enough for this shot:

    I really like the first one but the eye is a little freaky.

    Beautiful shot in #1. I love the head on look in #2. It's almost like he was posing for you!

    He/she was! I don't think I'll forget that excursion through the forest that day. Definitely magical.
