Favorite places to eat and favorite food

We are headed back for another trip last week in April, we want to expand our dinning this time and are looking for suggestions. Any other must see or overlooked things would be appreciated also.
 
alwqays a hotdog at Casey's, Boatwrights is a favorite, fish and chips in England either at the Rose and Crown or from the counter service, Columbia House is good for a quick meal, we want to do more resort hopping and dining this time, no grandchildren on this trip!
 
1900 Park Fair at the Floridian has an excellent dinner buffet. The food's great and they have a huge selection.

If you don't mind a little noise, Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge is a lot of fun. Just don't ask for ketchup... I always get the all you can eat Canyon Skillet (Mixed greens with apple vinaigrette dressing, fresh baked cornbread with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, cowboy beans and seasonal vegetables. Smoked pork ribs, pulled pork, oven-roasted chicken, and smoked brisket.)

I know its not at the resorts, but Le Cellier at EPCOT has some great steak. Its tough to get a table if you don't make reservations well in advance though.

trail's end at the fort wilderness campground. take the boat from the MK... much easier to get to than the bus route.

is Trail's end the one that is supposed to have the best fried chicken?

Le Cellier is one we have on the list we want to try, thinking about one nice sit down meal a day either at lunch or dinner
 
trails end is like a cracker barrel type buffet. it's awesome!
you can sometimes get into le cellier without rezzies at lunch time if you are there when they open. dinner? fuhgeddaboutit.

Kona. Not exactly known for its atmosphere but the food is incredible! Its like eating at Poly if you dont want the insanity that goes with Ohana.

Pecos Bills. At some point the vacation I do allow myself one giant hamburger and fries and since the fam wont go to Whispering Canyon again I settle for Pecos Bills hamburgers with lots of mushrooms and pickles and fries with cheese sauce!
 
I like the burgers at Pecos Bills also, have never tried Kona but may have to at least go there for coffee

No! Go for dinner and get the prime rib (and an Island Sunset). The bread and butter (I think its Hawaiian) they bring you is awesome too!

OK...I know it's pricey. But everyone who goes to Disney really needs to go there at least once. It is quite simply the finest restaurant in Disney World in many folks' opinions (including mine)...even compared to MUCH pricier places. Sure sure...Cali Grill is great, Bluezoo is excellent, Yachtsman Steakhouse serves a fine perfect steak, and Vicky & Alberts is a stunning presentation and top of the line food.

But when it comes right down to it...nothing beats Jiko: The Cooking Place in Animal Kingdom. Stunning appetizers. South Africa's finest wines. Unbelievable ingredients and flavors in amazingly delectable entrees. And lovely desserts with the finest coffee on earth, Kenya AA roast served in french press. It's not cheap - but it's sooooo worth it. I've recommended it to friends from 7-figure loaded to working-class incomes, and all agreed it was the finest meal and they intend to go again.

Now...that said, other favorites of mine include: Maya Grill (an oft-overlooked but quite good mid-price sit-down restaurant in Coronado Springs - if all else is booked and you want a nice restaurant meal, it's the place to go), Flame Tree BBQ (fast-food, walk-up tray service in Animal Kingdom - great meats, salads, wonderful BBQ sauces, and the most elaborate, huge, beautiful seating areas in all the parks), San Angel Inn (hard to beat the ambiance of this gorgeous Mexico-pavilion restaurant, in those gorgeous night hues and the steaming volcano over the river - and great Mexican food too!), El Pirata Y El Perico (tray-service in Magic Kingdom, right across from Pirates of the Caribbean...cheap, but tasty and nice different fare from the normal burger), ESPN Club (Bar food...and good stuff too - plus catch whatever sports game you happen to like, because they'll be playing them all! The Boo-yah chili is awesome - all meat, no beans, and spicy...great sandwiches, massive hot dogs, good salads, and full bar to boot - great place to kick back and enjoy a game).

Of course, some of the others mentioned are great too - I just thought I'd throw in a few others that I frequent pretty much any time I visit. I'll be at all of these in about a week!

i'm going to throw 2 of our favorites into the game here, spoodles, love that med influenced food, great flatbread appetizers
flying fish, this has become our traditional night before going home sit down meal, if had to make a trip to the world and could only do 1 sit down meal, it would be here
 
my favorite restaurant without fail is Jiko!
the best food anywhere on property! the food was good enough to inspire me to take some of the best photos I have ever taken!

tusker house is also a favorite.
 
Thanks goofy, we are drawing our plans as we speak and will phone next week to set the reservations, so many choices and so few meals
