DCA - Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land

When Halloween rolls around, the good folks in Hollywood Land erect a statue to their town hero. It's even better at night, with the glowing eyes of the pumpkin and horse. (I'll have to go back again to take that photo.)

Hometown Hero

Late in the afternoon, when the newsboys are exhausted from all of the singing, dancing and newspaper selling that they have to do all day, they jump on the Red Car and try to unload those last few papers.

Thing of the Past

DCA has revived the holiday tradition of decorating department store windows. This window shows a scene from the 1932 Silly Sympony cartoon Santa's Workshop.

Letters to Santa

There are several interesting displays in the windows along Hollywood Boulevard. This image of Tinker Bell is in the window of a shop called Off the Page. It looks like she's gone Hollywood, with makeup and everything.

Hollywood Glamour

It's sad that they need a cast member in front of the Red Car Trolley to shoo people off the tracks. But it is almost dark, so a big Red Car with a clanging bell is hard to see.
