    Re: Bath Time!

that's really nice, i'm always amazed at how much tigers like the water, it just doesn't fit with how a lot of the other cats feel about it

Jeff, is this the AF-S or the older model?

I have the AF-S since I mainly got it for birding. ; The knock on the lens of course is the lack of VR but the focus is lightning fast and accurate. ; I am usually shooting at a high enough shutter speed the VR is not an issue. ; Works pretty good with a 1.7x TC too- for a 500mm f-wayonupthere. ; ;)

You may remember I had the 80-400vr first. ; The vr was nice and the zoom convenient of course- but I like this much better. ; Even with the TC it can lock on and track birds in flight which is mainly what I got it for. ; I still want to get a 1.4x TC though- 500mm is a bit long for me to handhold.

Also- if you get this Kirk makes an excellent tripod collar for it. ; Much better than the factory version.
