Or you might say Sony P&S...Nikon D70s...Nikon D700...

I still have a lot to learn but thought it was interesting what a difference a couple years make.

  3. Gdad-
Youre getting there LOL. Right now I think I personally am between 2006 and 2007. I REALLY want to get to the quality of your 2008 pics! Any tips? ;)

P.S. I took a peak at your website yesterday (Im looking for ideas and tips for family portrait pics that I am forced to take on my own when we go in February). All of your pics are gorgeous!

Gdad, were the D700 shots with the 70-200 VR (non-N)?

    Thanks all-

Hey Roger- Nope- taken with the clunky old 180mm f2.8 ED which I loved on my D300 and I love even more on my D700. :-* The best $350 I ever spent.

(The '07 shots were taken with the 105/2.8vr by the way)

I need to pick one of those up. Reminds me of the good ol' days with the 200/2.8.

Definately easier on the back than lugging the 70-200vr around the park.

I'm going to Dunvegan Keep on Saturday and I'll be able to shoot with various lenses, so it's going to be cool to try them out...before buying any of them! Hopefully the 180/2.8 will be there, but it'll probably be the 24-70, 70-200, and the 135....maybe the 85 as well.

    Now if it's the 85 AF-S..... ;D
