While this guy looks like he's taking a dump, I think he was really just sitting in his own little corner of the world, enjoying a misty December day.

I spotted this bird in the aviary, sipping from the leaky sprinkler head. It wasn't on the bird spotting guide, so I don't have any idea what kind of bird it is.

Indeed - that was an oldie - I think maybe the glass was cleaner back then! Took that one with my old superzoom H5.
A lot of people pass by the okapi enclosure and, when they don't see one, move on. A little patience is often rewarded with one walking right up to the front.

More gorillas. This time it's a couple of youngsters playing king of the mountain.

This was the only time I saw this gorgeous blue bird - I've looked for him since and never saw him again:
It appears that these gorillas eat mostly leaves and grass, so I assume that the tongue indicates pleasure over his little snack.
