Thanks all. The exif info should be there if you download the photos. If not, just go to my MobileMe gallery and you can view the info or download the images or the whole album.

here's my entry for the illuminations grab the rail event, accomplished by overlapping tripod legs left and right side, along the railing of the lake, and just stand our ground until the show starts, it was a pretty impressive gear line

this was my next shot, when you use 30 second shutter times, you don't get too many frames in a show, this is straight out of the camera, just cropped a hair on the right side to take out some empty darkness

Gary these are wonderful, and the coloring is fabulous! ; I am going to have to get my very own ND filter.

Gary, what was the exif data on the "3262" photo (you had said 30 seconds shutter)?

these were taken at f8, iso 100, 25 seconds shutter, through the 35mm f1.4L , with the singh-ray vari n duo filter dialed all the way to max, now that's advertised as 2-8 stops, but max is more like 6-7. i had tried 30 seconds on the first 2 shots, but they were a little too hot for my tastes, so i backed the rest of the show down, 15 and 20 seconds were a little too dark for any globe , so i settled on 25, seems to be about right. at least for that location, probably would be right for anywhere around world showcase lagoon. the further away from the bursts, the longer times you need. my wishes shots needed 30 seconds. and i definitely need that cable release that haunteddoc has, it's that electrical one that allows you to set up shutter times, with continuous frames, i lost about 2 seconds between each shot as when the shutter closed i had to manually hit the button to start the next one.
