Looking good...liking a lot of the early planning. ; Now I just need to book my DVC. ; I'm still trying to work out my next trip in Jan/Feb this year, but an unfortunate family illness has that on hold - I know I'll be there in May for a business conference, and likely a shorter trip in June. ; Hopefully in the next month or so, I can firm up the exact times for Pixelmania (whether I can work out a Wed arrival, or have to come in Thu instead).
If that tour is eligible for AP or DVC discounts, that should probably be noted as well ; But even if a sub-set of the Pixelmaniacs go, I think it will do a lot to up the perception of the gathering because there are people who can afford such an outing and would love to do it with a bunch of other photography nuts I would predict that the tour guides will get slightly amused by how long the stops are to take pictures compared to their "traditional" groups
I still think that Tim should get enough sponsor money together to foot the bill for all that want to attend! LOL! ; Ok I don't REALLY think that, but how cool would that be if we could drum up that kind of dough.
Well if we all donate $5, we might be able to get enough for Tim to cover the cost of one of us...we can draw numbers to see who gets paid for. ;
Maybe trek for a full load however many that is could be part of the tim horton's spnsor package. For that I would wear the official Pixelmania/horton tshirt every day' you know, the black t with yellow lettering, has the horton's logo on it, big on the back, small pocket size on the front, big yellow letters, pixelmania 2012 spopnsored by tim horton's coffee. yeah what tim said i'll be calling them on tuesday to book our april trek, at that time i'll ask them how many make up a full load and what would the cost be per person for a dedicated tmip trek, i'll get back to you with that info next week, put it out with a pay by date to tmip first, then cast about to fill it if we have empty seats and lets do it, it's not a bad idea to have some kind of hard cost, exclusive to tmip attendees event, all the other web sites do this at their gatherings

I am at the River Roost tonight watching Yeeha Bob (my aunt came up for a couple of days). ; Anyway, I asked Hollie (waitress) when Bob starts playing his Christmas show. ; She said that it runs from the weekend after Thanksgiving until New Year's. ; Here's hoping to see TMIPer's as the Nine Lords a Leapin... ok a full trek is 12 people, when i booked for april there were treks leaving about every 45 minutes apart, i booked us on 0845 so that;s a time frame or 0930 for pixelmania, i really am interested in this, i think it should be part of the dak day
Sounds like a good schedule. ; Any chance of squeezing in a Jim Korkis tour? I'm really glad to see the dates announced so early, especially with a tentative schedule.
I was going through the dates from last years MVMCP. ; They did not do a party on Thursdays, but switched those to Wednesdays. ; I know that this info will not be out until May, but would we need to consider changing the EPCOT and MK days to accomodate the party if this year is the same as 2011?
If there is still interest in the Candlelight Processional, there are a couple of options. ; And it depends on what we are doing afterwards. ; First, if we go see Yeeha Bob after Epcot night, it would probably be better on timing to see the 5pm processional (as to have time to cross the park and catch a bus). ; If doing Beaches & Cream/ Crescent Lake Lobbywalk, the 6:45pm show is fine since we would just walk out the International Plaza Exit. ; It looks like booking the Dining Package for lunch is the cheaper option if not on the Dining Plan ( and keep in mind that this would be 2 table service credits for those that are). ; Now for the downside, kinda... Having to use a table service for lunch may cut into the "Holidays Around the World" Traditions Photowalk a little (maybe just hit a few key countries instead of all of them?). As for Yeeha Bob, I believe that the show will work after either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. ; Going after the Studios really just depends on how early it gets dark enough to shoot the Osborne Lights, and how long we shoot them for. ; But either way (after Epcot or DHS) we can hop a direct bus to Port Orleans for the show and they are not too long of a ride.
