I'll be bringing with me the following lenses to Mousefest...

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 DX
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 18-200mm VR f/3.5-5.6G DX
Nikon 80-400mm VR f/4.5-5.6D (only at AK; works on FX or DX bodies)

If you see me around and would like to try one of these lenses out for a few shots, just ask! Except for the monster zoom, I should have the other lenses with me at all times.

Wish I was going to be there...I'd love to try out that Tokina 11-16!

Ya'll have fun! I am planning to be there next year, as long as my wife finds a new job in the next few months...

Very nice Scott!
Our two bags are almost identical (I'm only missing the tokina)

Ray- Let us know if you get the 600.

That's great, Ray! You'll going to enjoy it once you learn how to use it.

That's the key! I bought an SB800 last summer, and I think is has as many configuration options as my D70S.

My shots made major improvements just experimenting with bounce flash. I've left the flash compensation to whatever Scott set it to (I think -1.0)

Yep, -1.0 is a great setting to start with. Just make sure your camera's flash compensation is set to 0.0 or they will accumulate on ya. When using a zoom lens, I've found I need to up the flash power because of distance at times.

Don't forget to check out Commander mode with your Nikon speedlights for even more creative uses.

Or just drop the 4 plus bills on the 900.
