See the two little dark grey tabs (one on the top section, one on the small compartment)? ; I put one leg of the tripod through those. ; There is also a tab on the side of the bag (they are rubber "tabs"), but when I put it through that, the tripod hangs down too low off the bag. ; I would rather attach it there, but unfortunately I can't. ; If they redesigned the bag to add a second tab to the side, and moved the current one up a bit, I'd definitely buy it.

There is no room for a laptop.
