Nice to see London revived again...I had forgotten about this thread.
They do have some funny building names - naming buildings after things they look like has been becoming a thing for a while now all over the world, but London really embraces it: Shard, Gherkin, Cheesegrater, Can of Ham, Salt Cellar, Pringle, Walkie-talkie, Stealth bomber...
Then again, it goes back a long way - 'Big Ben' isn't really called that, nor is 'the Tube' the official name!

LOL! I remember seeing the Gherkin and I went up to the observation level in the Shard, but those others, hadn't heard of.
