Lightroom Release Candidate 2.3 Available (Camera Raw 5.3 RC also available)

    Bugs - Fixed

    In the Windows 64-bit version of Lightroom an sFTP upload process could cause Lightroom to crash.
    Slideshows could return to the first image randomly during playback.
    A memory leak could cause Lightroom to crash while attempting to process files with local adjustments.
    Canon EOS 5D Mk II sRAW files could process with artifacts in Lightroom 2.2.
    Lightroom 2.2 could cause disc burning to fail for Windows customers.

    Nikon D3X
    Olympus E-30

    Are these release candidates usually pretty reliable? From what I read they appear to be at a higher level than a beta, but maybe that is just my impression.

    Except a huge fiasco with LR 2.1 I think the answer is yes from Adobe.

    it is my understanding that RC's are "not quite ready" but way more reliable than betas.

    I think it goes:
    • Alpha
    • Beta
    • Release Candidate (they are usually incremented...RC1, RC2, RC3, etc)
    • Gold Master Candidate
    • Final
