Last year I staked out a vantage point (which ended up being near Germany) and waited a few hours before the show to start with my tripod and remote ready to go. I wasn't very pleased with my results but I was more interested in watching the show than shooting it. However a shot like this really brings you back to the magic and ambiance of the Illuminations show when your longing for the Disney.
