Here is another from that same day, during the day. I really enjoyed this area of DCA. Paradise Pier by John Wolff, on Flickr
This was my daughter's favorite place to take pictures (of herself that is). Paradise Pier by John Wolff, on Flickr
Did they send the car out backwards or run the ride in reverse that day? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Both times I've gone to Disneyland recently, I made it a point to see the Ellis Island Boys play at the Paradise Garden Bandstand. I first saw Ralf (washboard) and John (guitar) Reynolds playing with the Reynolds Brothers Rhythm Rascals at the Sacramento Jazz Festival in 2005. They played great classic jazz then and now. Their grandmother was an actress in the 20s and 30s named ZaSu Pitts. And to close the circle, Ralf and Yehaa Bob Jackson knew each other and worked a lot together in Orlando in the distant past. Fresh Off the Boat
There are other attractions in the Paradise Pier area. The side opposite the Fun Wheel and California Screamin' features The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure. It's identical to WDW's Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid, except that DCA does not have a mile-long queue; the clam boarding area is right inside the door. Tough Choices
Meanwhile, Ariel's father points to the surface and warns his daughter not to go up there. You Don't Want To Go Up There
The exit of Toy Story Midway Mania in DCA features this quaint sitting room freaturing the ride's namesake game. I like to think of it as Andy's grandmother's house. It's Safe - Andy's Not Here
It's amazing what you can discover on a rainy evening in DCA. I found this Kugel fountain with the spinnable granite Pixar ball near the carnival games at the back of Pixar Pier. Heavy Ball
world of color, next time i won't even bother to try for photos, i think i will just concentrate on the show
One thing that I discovered on my first visit to Disneyland in 1972 is that the park is beautiful at night. Pixar Pier continues that tradition. Pretty Pixar Pier
