So this is 5 different exposures of BTMR combined into one HDR image. I try to keep my HDR to a more realistic tone, while still having great color. I was very pleased with this result...

Ghost Train by Nikon Or Niko?, on Flickr

Used the bracketed EV exposure (+2,+1,0,-1,-2) at 1/125, ISO 100, f/3.4. ; Merged with Photomatix Essentials.
Shot from Tom Sawyer's Island.

Likes: The colors, the detail in the mountain structure, The "Ghost Train
Dislikes: The huge patch of white in the background

Thoughts? Comments?

I like the same things you do. ; That blotch of white is what I was drawn to, but the color on the mountain is great.

I like the texture, but I think you're right about the white being distracting. ; Our eyes are attracted to the brightest part of the picture first and then to whatever is the sharpest object which makes the clouds distracting in this case.
