I won't be able to make it :(

While Blizzard 2009 was a no-show, my first outbound leg was to DFW. ; The plane was coming from DFW.

First it was delayed at DFW into Austin.

Then it pushed off from the gate at DFW, developed mechanical problems, returned to gate, had to deplane everybody, get a replacement plane and head to Austin.

The replacement plane arrived in Austin.

It developed mechanical problems as well. ; So there was no way I was going to be able to make any connecting flight to MCO tonight. ; And unfortunately getting into Orlando tomorrow would mean a full lost day, plus the associated issues with trying to cancel a package trip (get them to understand you aren't a no show but rather missing the first night.....) I'll have to cancel my plans.

Oh what terrible news... ; I am so sorry. ; I am not there but at least I knew I could not make it this year. ; You actually were on your way!!!

What a terrible bummer.

Well lets hope we can both make it next year!!!
 
Sorry to hear that Roger- the ongoing theme of the first Pixelmania definitely seems to be lousy weather. ; I just got home from the Epcot rain out. ;

Yeah, bummer.

I wanted to make it! ; Heck, even the gate agent at AUS bumped me up to first class on the first leg before the mechanical problems with #2 surfaced so I could get off the plane faster to try and make it from Terminal C to Terminal A for the connection!

I was expecting weather delays, but this was just something else. ; (Glad I actually wasn't on Continental, they were completely snowed in thanks to Houston's Global Warming Earliest Snow Ever.)
 
Sorry you couldn't make it Rog - would have been nice to have you along. ; You can enjoy it vicariously through everyone else's photos, and make sure next year's event is all planned with contingencies!
