While I had my lodging reservation for awhile now… it’s officially official now that I’ve purchased my Airfare. And it gets to be a couple extra days cuz the airline decided to change the schedule for the holidays and are not flying to my home airport on the day I would normally have flown home.

So the upside is that I get to spend two extra days at Disney… the downside is that it’s really only effectively a day because one day I’m checking out then back in… on on the other, I have to go to bed by 6pm so that I can leave for the airport at 2:30am.

    My info…
AKL Jambo (riff-raff and riff-raff adjacent)
    Flying in: Sat. 12/07
    Flying out: Fri. 12/20

We are tentative on actually attending but we are currently booked at Kidani 12/11-12/17. We may shorten or even cancel depending on competing interests. Or we may just be forced go after Joanie beats us up on the zoom meeting...

  4. At times, a note from Mother is acceptable to miss a Pixelmania meet up. An alternative to a note for missing Pixelmania is to drive your boat down to Bay Lake, drop it off for us to use for fishing and perhaps some inebriated waterskiing and then haul it back to the cold and wintery hinterlands from whence you came. If this is acceptable please ensure that the horsepower found in your boat engines is enough to outrun Disney Security and the Orange County Sheriff.

I'll be there!!! Since I am living here, I won't be staying anywhere, but I'll drive over each day. Looking forward to seeing you all!!

  6. Be sure to check out the dining thread to see if you are interested in coming to any of the restaurants we will be infesting during Pixelmania. Then reply to the dining thread so we know which restaurant reservations to add you to.

Southwest is having yet another fare sale. Check your reservations for price reductions.

FYI… they just announced a DVC Moonlight Magic event for December 10th at Animal Kingdom… registration opens on 9/19 for DVC members with valid reservations. Might be a nice pre-pre-meet if we can coordinate it.

How many non-DVC guests can a DVC member take? I'm willing to be someone's Plus One.

If Non DVC can be added, I’d be interested.

Looking at the website and based on the one we went to at Epcot a few years ago… it states a DVC member can invite “up to plus four” or “the number of guests on a room reservation” (whichever is higher). So if coordinated correctly, we could feasibly get 5-15 (-ish) into the event.

Registration opens on the 19th for members with a reservation and a week (or two) later for everyone else.

I currently plan on attempting to get a reservation for myself (with maximum allowable extra guests).

michael is aware and will be trying to get the max allowable, which is 5 or however many are on your res at 3 days before the reg date, such as if you had a grand villa and filled up with 12 guests that's how many you could take, and only the dvc owner has to be present and on the reservation to check everyone in, so i also plan on going for my five so dennis you should be covered. got any idea what the hours are??
a little research seems to suggest it will be 7-10 with check in up to 2 hours before to get your wristband, but all in a reservation have to be present with the dvc person to check in together, but that's easily organized

The only thing you might need to check on is… if Michael is staying at Casa De Gary, will he be able to make a reservation… or will he be locked out for being on your reservation? Or… if he will have to try on the “general public” date if he doesn’t have a reservation in his name.
