wiebeTECH storage

    Saw this on Scott Bourne's Photofocus blog the other day. ; He has switched from Drobo to wiebeTECH for external storage. ; It sounds like he's using something that could be a step above your standard external storage device, at not much more cost than a Drobo FS:

    I'm not familiar with the performance issues, if any, involved with iSCSI. ; If it's fast and reliable, it might be worth trying.

    My former employer relied on Netgear ReadyNAS for external storage. ; They were reliable and well supported. ; My only complaint was that the list of approved hard drives was fairly short. ; I don't know if this is a problem with wiebeTECH or not.

    wiebeTECH doesn't have a NAS option that isn't outrageously expensive (aka iSCSI), so that rules them out for me. ; I need to have the RAID functionality AND have the files accessible to all my devices (MacBook, 2 Windows Laptops, Windows tower and my gaming consoles)
