You don't need to be an electrician to figure this one out...just someone who observes details well! [attachment deleted by admin]
Re: Looks 'power'ful. Can you find it? The continents of both Africa and Asia generally use 220-240v. However, in the Asia section of AK a lot of the electrical equipment are painted or decorated in some colorful manner, so I'll go with Asia. The light looks like it was taken outdoors. The texture and color of the wall reminds me of the equipment store where the bathrooms are.
Re: Looks 'power'ful. Can you find it? Its an old rusty electrical box. I guess Tower of Terror! (but the wall color is pretty off I think!)
Re: Looks 'power'ful. Can you find it? Wow...nice guessing all! Deniz got things going warm right away, and Goofmick added to the heat. Awesome analysis by Deniz to pin it to Asia. Deniz...I am not sure what 'equipment store' you are referring to, so I don't know how warm or cold you are...can you give me more detail on where you're referring to? Can anyone zoom in on the precise location?
Re: Looks 'power'ful. Deniz - What equipment store? Alright...a small clue - Deniz's guess is quite warm...though I don't know what 'equipment store' he refers to, I can say that bathrooms may be close.
Re: Looks 'power'ful. Can you find it? Opps, sorry not to have checked in since yesterday morning--working on a big presentation! So my original guess was the supply shop facade along the pathway from the rest of Asia to the Expedition Everest. There isn't anything there but some benches and the bathrooms, but it is supposed to be (I think) the last stop for getting gear before you start climbing the mountain. This is the best picture I have of the overall area. . . [attachimg=1] [attachment deleted by admin]
In that case...YOU WIN! I suspected that might have been what you were referring to...but wanted to make sure. That's called the Shangri-La & Gupta's gear I believe, with the other one being the Yeti Palace hotel. The bathrooms are in between, with a small fountain splitting Men's and Women's. This power module is mounted on the back wall behind the fountain between the two restrooms. I'll post a slightly wider shot later tonight...but I took it as a closeup anyway. I have another shot which gives the general idea.
Here's the wider shot. It's still in closeup detail, but will give some idea of the setting: [attachimg=1] Here's the area...it just to the left, off screen. You can see the entrance to the women's restrooms - this unit sits on the back wall between this building and the Yeti Palace hotel building (which houses the men's room): [attachimg=2] [attachment deleted by admin]
Good one Justin! I found a larger picture of that wall (box is on lower left): [attachimg=1] They have some really cool decorated electrical and related devices there. This one is from the Yak and Yeti (sorry about the flash): [attachimg=2] [attachment deleted by admin]
