And to add to the article:

"Yeah, but you've never been stuck on IASW because your boat bottomed out....."

I heard of this a while back, specifically referring to the problem of the boats bottoming out due to the increasing weight of the passengers riding them (the story wasn't about the overhaul, it was about the problems with a suggestion that they were probably going to need to overhaul it to fix it). It actually made a radio show I listen to that makes fun of the recent news. They played up the irony that the country was getting too big for a Small World.

I actually rode IASW at Mousefest for the first time since I can remember. I'm sure I rode it when I was younger, but that was long enough ago that I really don't remember it. Come to think of it.. I think the same radio show had the guy that wrote the lyrics for the song as a guest. They poked fun at him for writing the song, and he responded by mentioning what a positive message it was.
I was thinking about that when I rode it. The only thing that really bothered me were all the freaky animals tilting their heads back and forth, that looked so unnatural to me. I can't really explain it, but I still have the image of a mountain goat with it's head tilting back and forth like a metronome stuck in my head. And it's just wroooong.

OMG I think the same thing!

The one thing the article doesn't mention is that DL's version doesn't have video cameras on the inside, and it wasn't budgeted for this rehab!
