the love tonight, my favorite song from the lion king, hard to get good shots of the flying bird lady
nobody does the 30 minute stage show better than disney, and festival of the lion king is tops imho, followed very closely by beauty and the beast
    just my .02 cents worth

Beautiful colors in this shot! It is really dark during this song and this is a great photo! Nice Job!

I haven't been to that show since 2000.

Here's one that actually came out back then:

Never been to that show before. The only real stage show I've been to at WDW is beauty and the beast. great pictures both of you.

my photos from 2000 would also have looked like that, now it's an all enclosed theater, which makes it a lot more comfortable for both cast and audience during summer with ac
wonder why disney builds open air theaters and then encloses them, not being a structural engineer i'm thinking as time goes by and then they enclose it cannot be all that much cheaper than just fronting up the $ at original build out

Look at who was CEO when DAK was built.

Your honor, I rest my case.

See also City of Anaheim v. Team Disney Anaheim, Michael Eisner et al ("Code violations for failure to provide cover to escalators located outside of a building on the world's largest parking structureâ„¢ designed by Michael Eisner")

Thanks for the info Gary. I think this time around we'll have to *try* and take the kids over that way, but we'll probably be on the other side of the park for Nemo. They are still hooked!

I think that part of the reason is they don't know how popular the show is going to be, so build a cheap structure now and "fix" it later if it's a hit.

Dur I also forgot Camp Minnie-Mickey was supposed to just be temporary, as that was supposed to be the Beastlie Kingdom land. (very true, look at the concept art for DAK with unicorns, dragons)

Gary, what lens focal length did you use for this shot, and I'm assuming the 5D? Thanks!

FOTLK really is a great stage show. i think the best time to see it is during extra magic hours when there is hardly anyone else in the theatre. sure beats standing in that crowd and humidity to get in during the day.
