I have two children, a girl who is seven, and a boy who is two. We are planning a trip to Disney World in Florida early 2015, and I am wondering what is the best place to stay for someone with kids my childrens ages? I have checked out the information at the website and even ordered the planning package, but I am looking for opinions from people who have been there. Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Definitely one of the All-star resorts or pop century. Those are the best results I could let you know of, they are really great, and I hope you have a wonderful trip.

The Value resorts are nice and have great theming. But, if you need to return to your resort for afternoon breaks, you may want something closer to the parks.

MK: the Monorail resorts are Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian. Wilderness Lodge is a short bus or boat ride away.

Epcot: Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn, and the Swan/Dolphin are within walking distance.

AK: Animal Kingdom Lodge is 5 minutes away.

It also is very dependent upon your budget. There is a huge difference between a Value Resort and the Deluxe Resorts. The Moderate Resorts would require you to use the bus system to get to and from all parks.

Thank you all for your quick replies! My children are very excited, as am I, as this will be my first trip as well. My husband has been a few times, but the last time was many years ago. I will be looking into your suggestions tonight (after the kids are in bed and not constantly asking "Is that where we are goi?!?!"). Thanks again!

  5. @Anna Ramsey All really good questions. Planning in advance is key to a great Disney vacation. @iTinkSo has many great suggestions and we completely agree. It really all depends on what fits into your families budget and vacation style.
