No, this is not a post about riders and horses crashing. Thankfully. No this is about having the wrong camera and lens because I forgot to plan ahead. I knew this event was going to take place but did not bring a fast sports lens or camera. Instead I had the Nikon D750 with the 28-300VR f/3.5-5.6 super zoom. So, what to do? Use ISO 12,800 at 1/500th of a second and lots of noise reduction in Lightroom. 1/500s, f/5.3, 100mm FL, cropped 1/500s, f/5.6, 190mm FL, cropped 1/500s, f/5.6, 160mm FL, cropped 1/500s, f/5.6, 135mm FL, cropped Not the greatest but did get some images.
